What is APEX ACADEMY?

Apex Water Polo Academy is a specialized water polo academy with a major focus on developing water polo at all skill levels. We aim to provide high-quality coaching, detailed structured training programmes, and a supportive environment for athletes to improve their technical and tactical skills, deepen their understanding of the game, improve their fitness levels, and build teamwork habits.

The academy offers training schedules for different age groups, from players who want to learn the fundamentals of water polo to advanced players who want to compete for their schools, provincial teams, or at the national level. Through some of the most advanced and experienced training methods, Apex Water Polo Academy helps athletes reach their full potential.

Our mission is to help young athletes reach their full potential through expert coaching, structured training, and a passion for water polo, while promoting teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.

About the Founder

  • Founder and Head Coach of Apex Academy.

  • Over 10 years of playing experience and 5+ years of coaching experience in water polo.

  • Represented his school and competed at every age-group level for Western Province Water Polo.

  • Part of multiple provincial gold medal-winning teams during his playing career.

  • Currently coaches at Western Province Preparatory School (WPPS) and Wynberg Boys' High School (WBHS).

  • Passionate about helping young athletes improve their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game.

  • Established Apex Academy to provide quality coaching and support player development at all levels.
